I changed a password that I had saved on Firefox, and deleted it hoping that I could save the new one; how can I do that if Firefox isn't prompting me to do so?

I recently was asked to change my password for my e-mail account. I had previously saved the password, but upon changing it, went to the tools tab, then to options, then to security, then to saved passwords and removed the saved password. Now, when I sign in with the new password, the website isn't asking me if I'd like the save my new password. Is there anyway I can have it saved again?
