If I create a new folder in the bookmark tolbar. Then if I drag and drop a tab in that folder in the bookmark toolbar, the folder is not updated with the new link. However, the bookmark sidebar is updated with the new link. This problem happens only with recently created folders.

If I restart firefox, the problem is fixed: my folder in the bookmark toolbar contains the new link. I could'nt find an answer to this issue in the forum or with a google search.

Thanks for the answer, But

  • Bookmarks are indeed saved, they appear only *after* I restart firefox
  • my places.sqlit is not locked or damaged,

I don't have such a big problem, more a little inconvenience. It happens only when I create/move a folder in the bookmark toolbar. Placing bookmarks in already created folder works perfectly.

I tried on another computer with similar setup and the problem doesn't appear. So I'll try reinstalling.
