Restarting Firefox after attack virus attack without losing all other tabs?
I had a virus attack which was successfully blocked by my anti-virus software. The attacking website would not let me navigate away, or close the Firefox tab, so I shut down the computer.
On restart Firefox opened all the previous tabs, including the attacking website. On the next restart I closed Firefox before it could restore the previous tabs, next time I started Firefox it gave the 'This is embarassing message' and I started a new session. Some of the old tabs had been open for some considerable time so it is not easy to go back in History and restore them.
The ideal solution would have been if I could have edited the tab list before I restarted Firefox, however is it possible to list the recent tab list?
Thank you.

Set the pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.
That will allow you to deselect the tab(s) that you do not want to reopen, but will allow to reopen the other tabs.
Thanks for the information. As this was the first time to do a Firefox configuration change, there was a bit of a learning curve, but I have successfully changed the parameter. Hopefully I will have to wait a long time before I see the benefits.
Thank you
