Firefox 3.5.15 on Vista. Periodically it throws open a new window with an ad from Netflix when I'm watching something on abc.com. (I do not log in there or supply any info, I just watch episodes.) The address is some permutation of

and it is not a result of my clicking anything. I tried adding the base address (http://cdn.optmd.com) to the list of adblock preferences but it keeps coming back. I hate stuff like this and I really don't need more open windows when I'm already dealing with Vista's usual crawl. Someone please advise how to keep this kind of junk from opening...?

Have you tried using the CLICK TO OPT OUT » link on the right side of that page?

Thank you. I'm trying that now. However, I have cookies completely enabled - I even specifically told it to allow cookies for the optmd site - and this site still thinks they're disabled and won't let me opt out. I'll try it again after the next Firefox reinstall... maybe that will make a difference.

Re-installing Firefox probably won't fix anything, unless you delete your Firefox data and customizations.
