Where is the info stored when Firefox saved the previous opened windows, after asking "Do you want Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts?"? I what to delete this file, Firefox opens the same 3 windows every time I open Firefox. How can I change this?

Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

See:

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my home page" or "Show a blank page"

Save and Quit will only work if you close Firefox via "File > Quit" to close all open Firefox windows.

You can reset the warn prefs on the about:config page via the right-click context menu.
