You cannot give feedback without getting in a loop with the download page. the feedback page says if you want to give feed back. First you must download the latest version 4.0.1. I now have version 4.0.1(6) and still can not use the feedback page.

The Mozilla Firefox opening page tells you to get the latest version of Firefox. You go to the download page and it is the same version you have previously downloaded. You want to provide feedback and go to the feedback page. The feedback page states"oh, so you want to send us feedback. First you must download the latest version of Firefox. You download what is supposed to be the latest version and it is the same one you have downloaded previously. You complete the download and still can not provide feedback because when you go back to the feedback page you have the same screen telling you that you must download the latest version of Firefox to give feedback. I have not been able to find a way to escape this loop. It seems that a method of checking whether or not you have the latest version of Firefox could be installed and activated when you open Firefox. If you have the latest version of Firefox, then you could continue and not be bothered with the question "Do you have the latest version of Firefox?"

Its so sad. The downloaded newest Firefox (4.0.1) has no instructions & points to a useless site. Asking on Firefox IRC HOW to do it give me this answer: Just install it. The new firefox is also really not userfriendly without a little help. Help that I had to search & search & search for. So FF can count me also as lost.

My solution was that Firefox allows only one default working. So trying to start the new one while old Firefox was working, opened the same old Firefox. I had also close Chatzilla because that's also FF. After that, a new Firefox showed up, checked addons & started oké.

If I knew before that it was such a peace of cake. Its sad.

You should have seen this page when Firefox 4 loaded the first time. Did you view Step 2 - Know your browser?
