How do I access my email account from a library computer

more options

My friend Dorothy Cassidy (email account: dcassidy0119@------.com) has Firefox access on her home laptop which is currently not in service. She would like to access her email through the Ottawa Public Library computer. How does she do that? There is only Internet Explorer shown on their computer as an access point. So, how does she get to Firefox? I can use my laptop but do not want to download Firefox so we are still stuck.

I'm sure that Internet Explorer can access the same webmail site. It may look a bit different, but... I'd give it a shot.

Alternately, if the library has Windows computers and you have a USB flash drive handy, you could install a portable version of Firefox for Windows on the flash drive. This site has it: http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable

I should add that public computers are not always clean and secure. After using the public computer, it might be advisable to change the account password on a trusted computer.
