The Location Bar in Firefox 5 suddenly stops giving suggestions( except for other open tabs) and does not resume until the browser is restarted. The setting on the Privacy tab is( and stays) “History and Bookmarks”, and changing it to something else and back does not help. I can’t figure out what triggers this behavior or how to fix it without restarting. Edit: It is not an extension, happens in Safe Mode too. I think it might be when I come back from hibernation.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Well since it occurs randomly, I don’t know how much that will really tell me. But I’ll give it a shot. Also note that the only extension I was already running BEFORE the problem started are Java, so this seems highly unlikely as a cause.

Happens in Safe Mode too. Just realized it might be triggered by hibernation, or even screensaver.
