I did not see toolbar either... my fix was in the Roboform Editor -> options -> Browser Integration -> check Attach Roboform to Firefox even in adapter is not installed. The toolbar shows up again.

Thanks, jgarza! Your advice enabled me to solve the conundrum. It would be most helpful if Mozilla would provide updates that automatically retained tool bars such as Roboform. JPB

Mozilla does provide automatic updates to add-on Toolbars which are hosted at the official Add-ons website.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/roboform-online-password-manag/

Also, Firefox is capable of doing automatic add-on updates from any secure server (HTTPS) as long as the add-on is coded for such in the install.rdf file for the add-on.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Install_Manifests#updateURL

The downside of that feature is that Firefox is going to "ping" the update server looking for the availability of an update when Firefox is opened the first time each day, which might be why the developer of a self hosted add-on might not have included that feature.
