I leave the computer on at all times for the fax. I click on Firefox but within a few hours the computer starts slowing down because Firefox has used all the memory. I click on :Processes" in the Windows Task Manager and it is using over 1 Gig of memory. I close Firefox and restart it and it is at 200 meg, which is fine until I start using it and again it takes all the memory over a short time. I use Windows 7 on an Acer laptop in my office

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
