On my laptop running Windows XP, Firefox 7, suddenly the font size on my tabs and in the address bar are huge. I have no idea what happened to make them that way. It's horrible.

You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties), go to the Compatibilities tab and put a mark before "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" to see if that has effect.

I finally got the font size issue remedied. I somehow had an add on to make the print large in the address bar. But I have saved your tip to a folder for future reference and thank you so much.

Now if someone could just help me with this crashing business. I can't isolate it because nothing is constant. I unselected hardware acceleration and this is the longest I've gone without a crash, but I'm not thinking I've got it solved.

This is on an old laptop running XP. Firefox was running just fine until yesterday morning when I uninstalled RoboForm and installed LastPass. After that I started getting the crashes, yet I'm not pretty sure they have nothing to do with LastPass itself.

So Sorry. What I mean to type at the end was I'm pretty sure they have nothing to do with LastPass itself.

Also, my browser works just fine while I have it open and running. It's only when I close down that I get that window telling me Firefox has crashed, etc., etc.

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

Yes, I found this info in all the Googling I did. But this really does me no good. It looks like a bunch of gibberish to me. Is there a specific area you can direct me to?

Did you try to open the about:crashes page?

To open the about:crashes page, type about:crashes in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. I already did this and when I opened the page it just looked like a bunch of gibberish. Way too much for me. Unless there is a key place you look on these crash reports that will really tell the average person something they can use. The signature is GetMessageW if that tells you anything.

You copy copy some of the most recent links that you see on that page and paste them in a reply post.
Then we can try to check them to see if that gives any clues of the cause of the crashes.

I will try to do that tomorrow. I have that computer shut off now.
