Using Windows Life or Hotmail, when attaching a file it crashes. Using Firefox 9.01. Please advise how to correct.

Recently when using Windows Live or Hotmail, when I try to attach a file it crashes. I am using Firefox 9.01. These are not big files. I need this feature for work. It happens about 90% of the time. If I close Firefox and start again, I can sometimes attach a file, and then the next time it will crash.

Error says plugin-container.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Then another window opens and says - The Silverlight plugin crashed.
