FF ver 11.0; I have a download in the download window that is stuck on Pause and can't get rid of it.
While downloading Sumatra PDF reader, I clicked on Pause. While working on something else, my PC rebooted (WinXP). The download window continues to show the paused download and I can't restart the download or cancel it. I can ignore it, of course, and will continue to do so if there is no easy solution.
Keazen oplossing
Try to delete the downloads.sqlite file (and downloads.rdf, if exists) in the Profile Folder , the files will be regenerated when needed.
See Manually delete download history
thank you

Good idea, uh, ideato. Thanks very much. The .rdf files you referred to were dated 2007, so probably not them. There were three down*.sqlite files, one from 2011 and two from 2012. I was able to delete the .rdf files, the 2011 .sqlite file, and one of the 2012 files (all using command line "del"), but the third file gave me an error message: "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process." Even after a warm reboot. Still, it was NOT the file that was stuck. All ok, and thanks again.
Thanks so much for your help! It helped tons.
Nimo, did you reply to the right person/problem/answer/suggestion?
Try this program:
Cor-el, ideato's solution worked. While I still have a down*.sqlite that is locked, apparently it is an orphan of some kind since the download process is working just fine. Thanks for your input. I'll keep the info on the unlocker app.
Oops! I meant to address it to "ideato". Thanks so much for your input, ideato!
