At first the java script wasn't loading plus my persona's weren't working so I disabled/removed my Open DNS settings from router and that helped for about 12 hours but then I had a similar problem it still caused issues with my persona's but this time the java was loading on your site but it was refreshing very slowly

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

1. Clear Firefox's Cache

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"

2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here

While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page. If you usually log in to the site, you probably will need to log in again.

Well I usually clear browser cache and cookies with CCleaner ( www.piriform.com/ccleaner ) but when I go to Tools menu > Options > Advanced >Network mini-tab > Offline Storage it says your application is currently using 0 bytes of disk space. Here I'll show you a screenshot. So what should I do then? One side note a sandbox my Firefox with Sandboxie ( www.sandboxie.com )

I had the same problem, noticed mid-evening yesterday to early this morning. I also use OpenDNS, however I didn't think that was the problem. I was experimenting with an about:config setting last night (dom.storage.enable) but reverting that back did not make a differnce.

I cleared the cache, cookies and history via the browser Options and also ran CCleaner and Vista's Disk Cleanup. I ran ipconfig release/flushdns/renew in the command line window. I checked my customized HOSTS file for occurences of any of the affected domains but could find none.

Entering mozilla.org through the front end, I was able to receive properly rendered pages until I reached support.mozilla.org. bugzilla and mozillazine.org rendered properly. Add-ons.mozilla.org (and a few other subdomains I can't remember) didn't. I'd get, after a very slow attempt at loading, the browser error page "Firefox can't find the server at...."

I have an add-on, Gcache+, thar allows one to view Google's cache of a page. I used it on the error page, then the cached paged would come up, but rendered as if Javascript wasn't working. The same type page came up when accessing cache's directly from Google search, where various mozilla.org pages appeared in the search results as I researched the problem.

Because of the appearance I unsuccessfully toggled AdBlock, NoScript, Greasemonkey and its scripts, and Flashblock.

I checked in IE and a clean Firefox install I keep for troubleshooting. Both rendered the pages incorrectly. The Firefox install, however, went straight to the incorrectly rendered page -- no server error.

I didn't detect the problems on any other websites. There may have been similar problems elsewhere, I just didn't run into them.

I read that restarting the modem might help, but I just signed off this morning and decided to check later. Because I saw the problem within IE and the bare FF install my next step would have been to disable OpenDNS to revert to my ISP's DNS. If the problem disappeared I would know it was OpenDNS' and next step would be with them.

I suspect, baldape, that it was an OpenDNS problem. Your issues may have cleared up by now if that is the case. As I said, I didn't notice a prblem until about 24 hours ago, 9:00 PM EDT.

If this happens again I will do the obvious (cache clearing, etc.) but then toggle DNS settings as the next step.

LOL well I don't think its just a Open DNS problem because sometime last night I disabled it and that seamed to fix it but around noon today I had a similar problem again this time without Open DNS but it wasn't as severe but it still was effecting my persona's but after about 45 minutes everything cleared up and now its working just fine even with Open DNS so yeah weird I'm thinking it might have been more of a mozilla.org issue the Open DNS thanks for the input some very useful information to keep in mind.By the way who is your ISP mines Charter Communications.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).


Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Well like I said its working just fine now in fact I had similar problem about 3-4 weeks ago with http://noscript.net/ and I checked that site with Internet Explorer and still had issues heck I even went on my smartphone and had the same problem although this time I didn't try other browsers or devices with this new problem but I'm sure it would've been the same.

Cor-el, I'm not sure what Baldape's problem might have been, but I considered add-ons to not not be the problem because the pages showed up incorrectly even in the Firefox profile with nothing installed. Possibly, it could have been a plug-in, but I update manually so nothing changes or is updated without my knowledge, and mozilla.org had been operating properly since I did plug-in updates last week. I confirmed Java (yes, I know not the same as Javascript) was up-to-date, nearly all the rest are related to various external applications and media players.

Considering that this rendering would show in other browsers, as Baldape confirms, I wouldn't think it were a Firefox add-ons conflict. Is there some other factor I might be overlooking, if this happens again?

Thanks for the pointer to the status site, which I'll bookmark. I was using www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it kept showing the sites I was having trouble with as being up even though I was getting the "Server not Found" error. Being able to get to those same sites through Google cache didn't tell me one way or other if the problem was with my system or the website since the indexing may not be recent, but I was presuming they were up.

Well you know how they say your first conclusion is probably the correct one so I was right to conclude that it was the mozilla sites just proves that you cant beat good critical and analytical thinking long live the scientific method.
