I have used firefox for awhile now and suddenly no google websites load. When I go to google search or gmail I get 100 lines of gibberish (see screen shot). I can still access gmail in internet explorer and on my iPhone so I'm fairly certain that the problem is with firefox or my computer and not google. I have already updated java and that didn't do the trick.

You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page and reset all bold user set network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset.

Check at least:

  • network.http.accept-encoding: gzip,deflate

If the reset doesn't last then see: If you do not keep changes then see:
