The AppData folder is hidden by default. To see whether that is your active profile, try:

Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button

Then check the current folder. Match?

Tracking cookies happen, and there are many ways to manage them. However, cookies are not a security threat, so I don't suggest any drastic action on that profile. More about Firefox's cookie management features starting here: Cookies - Information that websites store on your computer.

thank you for the reply. following your suggestion i found the real profile.

turns out that when I went to the config to see what was in start up, under the general tab i found that the boot option was set to a custom boot.

I changed it to be the standard boot and almost all the issues went away and the profile under AppData was completely different from what had been there

gonna continue searching for other issues that need fixing.
