I need to reinstall FF 17 until my Kapersky Password Manager is updated to work with FF 18. Where can I find FF 17 to download?

Firefox updated automatically from 17 to 18. But now my Kapersky Password Manager does not work. l have been waiting for Kapersky to fix this problem for three weeks but they have not. So I would like to reinstall FF 17 until Kapersky updates. However, I cannot find a download link for FF 17. Please tell me where I can find it. I have Windows 7 operating system.

Please be patient, Kaspersky Lab team working on it, and we hope soon they will release the patch, however if you use older version, it may affect your pc :)

I've already seen this link at kapersky. That is why I came here. Those post started on Jan 8th! And they've still not resolved the problem. Did my FF update automatically or did I just hit a wrong key? I have always tried not to update until I was sure FF was compatible with KPM. But this time it just seemed to do it automatically. If so, I'm about as frustrated with FF as with Kapersky. Thanks

I have the same problem. Since over a year, every major update of Firefox is resulting in a not working Kaspersky Password Manager plugin.

So I act the same as you and wait with updating FF till I'm sure that KPM is working on that version. Of course this is connected with security risks.

But hey, I don't care anymore, because 99% I use Chrome and this is what I recommend to anybody else using Kaspersky Password Manager. You'll never have any issues with the plugin and your browser is always on the latest release.

I'm wondering why Chrome is able to create always compatible updates, while FF users always seems to struggle.

Why not use Firefox for most of your passwords, and if necessary install other password software, just use Kaspersky for AV, or consider Windows free offerings.

thanks for your tips.

Your question is justified. I use KPM since 2 years and since than I did not looked for any alternatives, as moving hundreds of passwords to another database would be hard. But my decision by than was based for that as a webmaster I need: - to work with multiple browsers, so I need a cross browser compatible password manager. KPM works for Chrome / FF / IE which is perfect. - password storage also for FTP software storing server access data, all with auto fill in options. - to work on multiple devices and can run a portable KPM version on any usb stick

In your case that may be a good reason for keeping Kaspersky (KPM)

Have you seen the above linked article, that includes software suggestions, and of course more will be found if you try a web search.

I suppose two systems could be run in parallel and that way any new system would build up the passwords & logins as required, as opposed to you having to do a mass transfer on day one.

I answered a post recently where I noted someone was using paid for Norton software, but only had the annual subscription because of the passwords etc storage, not because of the AV & backup facilities.

Thanks. I'll check your link. But for now I do not need any alternatives for KPM, as I'm actually very happy with it. The issue with major updates of FF is not concerning me anymore, I just wanted to let go a little frustration why FF updates affect the plugin while Chrome updates do not.

Please be aware that the Kaspersky Password Manager is not connected with Kaspersky Antivirus or Internet Security. It is an independent programm and can be run also without using Kaspersky AV or vice versa. I bought KPM for $15 and this is a lifetime license.

Thanks for that, sounds good value for you in that case.
