After upgrading to Firefox 20.0.1 the plug-ins that have been disabled will not disable without a lot of restarts and you have to do each plug-in individually after each restart. No longer can you disable them all at the same time. Also, after about 5 or 6 times of opening the browser the plug-ins that were disabled enable themselves again, which makes it even harder, because you have to disable them individually.

Are you meaning Plugins (Flash, Java, etc.) or Extensions (Ad-block Plus, etc.)

more options

Plug-ins just as it reads.

This can be caused by plugins being used on open tabs.
Try to close open tabs that use those plugins and see if that allows to disable the plugins

This is like bringing your car into the shop and trying to show the mechanic the noise it makes, but now it won't make the noise. It has disabled the plug-ins, for now, correctly. I don't want to say the problem is solved because this is the second occurrence of this, so I'll have to wait until it does it again. Sorry about that Cor-el . I will have to leave this as an open support problem for a bit.
