I have a grey frame around my screen, only in FireFox.. When placing the mouse on left or right side, top or bottom.. double arrows appear.. so I am able to drag the screen right or left.. also up and down... this exposes my desktop image.. When I come on line it is not there until I click one time.. I need to move it over and up everyday.. it seems to slip across and down. I would like to delete this feature... Help..

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

It is also possible that you have security software that is giving Firefox a special treatment (e.g. sandbox)

I JUST GOT AN ANSWER .. ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS MAXIMIZE SCREEN !!

So, the only thing you wanted was that Firefox would fill the entire screen without seeing other parts of the Windows desktop?

You can also run Firefox in full screen mode, see:

I didn't know my screen was not on Maximize .. I wanted to delete the grey moveable border.. it appears if I click "Restore Down"
