I have the same issue ... checked out Mozilla just now to see if maybe you were located in Richardson and found this thread. Using the check my ip link, it correctly shows my location. But Facebook has for quite a while shown as my location Richardson, TX. In fact, yesterday it locked me out because it didn't recognize my browser! (might be a separate issue). Note: I use the opt-in extra security app to block unknown users.

Hope someone has figured out what's going on by now. Thanks!

Well it would be helpful, if Facebook had better support. There's no way that I've found to actually chat with a person or to get a personal response.

I do appreciate your response!

Facebook states they don't recognize my computer. Computer: Ten (10) years old. Location: One+ (1+) years old. Phone: Three (3) years old. FACEBOOK wants JPEG color GOV'T issued PASSPORT or DRIVERS LICENSE. I'm same 'ol person. Even my BANK doesn't require such invasion of my privacy when bank doesn't recognize my computer. PLUS i call my bank, they answer, and i know who i'm talking to at my bank. i'd like my Facebook name back - i put it on Facebook with good faith & use.

I just read Annies post after I posted below. Facebook has been emailing me the following:

Hi oceanskies, Facebook recently had me spend 20 minutes trying to identify a bunch of profile photos. As you can imagine, these included kids, dogs, and random objects that I couldn't associate with anyone. Sigh.

I'm not sure what gives Facebook jitters, but make sure you are dealing with the real Facebook and not an impostor site attempting to steal your identity. You might want to conduct some supplemental malware scans just in case. Some free tools are recommended in this support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.

Can you log in to Facebook using another browser, e.g., Internet Explorer, on the same system?

Note: if you use a private VPN or TOR routing or other anonymizing service, some website may consider those connections suspicious. Try connecting directly to Facebook without those services.
