Change the serif font size and minimum font fixed the issue. I must have changed that during some tweaking but thought that it would reset once I reinstall FF. Is there a reset to factory setting option in FF like IE???

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js

Yes, I know. You can give that a try if you need it again in the future. There is usually no need to reset Firefox for setting changes that you want to undo if you can do it by deleting a file or reset involved user set prefs on the about:config page.
