Why doens't the spell check dictionary have so many basic words like unbacked?
Where does firefox get it's spell check data from and why is it so bad? The amount of basic words it's missing is staggering. Also it is really bad at making suggestions for fixing spelling mistakes.
I would like to suggest that at least firefox starts to sync custom dictionaries so I don't have to start putting all the words that I use into it every time. Also even with their being a canadian dictionary for firefox I add canadian spelling to my custom dictionary a lot too and I often spell things without capitals as a choice.

I was one of the people who replied to your similar question in June 2012: Spell check doesn't work well enough. I'm not aware of any major changes since then...
Regarding having Firefox Sync also synchronize the custom dictionary files, a request for that has been filed on Bugzilla, but there doesn't seem to have been much progress lately:
Bug 409969 – Sync custom dictionaries
It's generally not helpful to add "me too" or "hurry up" comments in the bug tracking system, but you can register on the Bugzilla site and "vote" for them to be fixed. See:
Is there anything else I can do other then vote on this bug?
some spell are not in FF browser || but you can add spell to its dictionary by right clicking on the spell then press "add to dictionary " ..
Hi tumaru, it's hard for me to make additional suggestions because I don't know how development priorities are set. My personal feeling is that progress can happen in either of two ways: someone assigns the project to a developer based on overall priorities, or a developer volunteers to do the work to push it forward based on their own interests.
I doubt either of those will happen which is why I think it has to be assigned. There are so many other things that are more important then this that it probably won't be assigned due to the non virtually unlimited supply of software engineers. Thus since it will never be assigned I think it is even more important that it be assigned. If only we could just grab chrome's spell check software and plug it in.... could chrome's spell check software be "borrowed"?
