Firefox crashes

I keep getting crashes on random websites when I'm reading articles. I got one randomly on a NY post page. Any time I try to click a link on those pages it opens up a random tab with some other website that has nothing to do with the site I'm on.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Definitely will use all of these. Did the malware one this morning but I keep having adware pop up on some sites so going for that one now. Cheers.
