On my phone Firefox for Android crashes quite often. I suspect that it has something in common with the fact that the crashes happen on pages where flash content is used. Since the flash content is displayed using "shumway" I wanted to try browsing with shumway deactivated since I do not care for the flash content anyway. Unfortunately, I could not find a setting for this. Is there a way to disable it? Thank you in advance!

Firefox for Android does not come with Shumway. Did you install it? If you did use the Addons manager to uninstall.

In Firefox

  • Press the menu button
  • Select tools
  • Select Add-ons
  • Select Shumway
  • Select uninstall
