How do I remove wrong email for Firefox Sync on my computer's browser?
Hi all,
I'm using Firefox 37 recently. I'm new to the Firefox sync and already made a dumb mistake. I signed up with my email account, but accidentally left a character. It seems the verification mail went to someone who has that email address.
I tried to sign up on the sync again with the correct email and now I get the message: Merge Warning A different user was previously signed in to sync on this computer. Signing in will merge this browser's bookmarks, passwords and other settings with "....@mail.com".
Is it possible to delete the wrong email address from my browser?
Thank you

Try to delete the Weave folder and the signedInUser.json file in the Firefox profile folder and delete the prefs.js files to reset all prefs and maybe also delete the compatibility.ini file to reinitialize the profile.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Hi. Thanks for the reply.
I tried to sign in on the link that you gave with the wrong account, but without the verification mail I can't get in.
When I sign in to sync on my browser, it still asks if I want to merge with the accidental account.
Should I merge them first and see if the accountis there to delete? Or is a re-install of Firefox a solution to reset everything?
Hello,
re-installation process won't work. Follow these steps:
- Click on Open Menu
- Click on the E-mail id
- Now click on Disconnect

Debapriya Bhattacharya, I couldn't find the option unless I signed in with the account. Thanks for the time and help though.
Cor-el, I think that did the trick. Thank you very much!! Really appreciate it.
