I can't connect to free airport wifi hotspots anywhere . it says Google isn't trusted or it simply says I'm not connected to the Internet when the preferences check says I am. This is so frustrating !! I can't find any direct answers to my question on the forums.

Hi

I fully understand and appreciate your question - the same thing happens to me. I do not think that you question is directly related to an issue with Firefox for Android, but I will do my best to help.

First off, please appreciate that these spaces often have lots of people trying to connect, and sometimes some of those people are moving large data files instead of viewing text in news pages and email. Sometimes it can be a struggle to connect as a result.

On a more practical level, some of the "free" hotspots, still have a authentication layer that you have to go through. In same cases you may need to have downloaded an app from the Google Play Store for easier connection. Alternatively, you may have to wait a short while (even when your device says it is "connected" to open Firefox for Android, and on trying to load a page may be asked to register your email address.

Without knowing the name of the service provider, or details around your device, it is a bit tricky to provide any further guidance, but I hope this helps.
