Guess I should post more info. I play four games on Facebook: Words with Friends (which loads and plays just like it did before the upgrade). Word Streak with Friends (which loads and plays, but now requires a refresh after each move), Scrabble (which gets to "transferring data from eaassets_akamailhd.net" and then stops on the red screen with with the loading icon and will go no further. and Trivia Crack which just goes to a blank white screen. I have followed the instructions to allow Firefox through the firewall and the one to give apps.facebook.com permission to store info on my computer. Neither helped.

Firefox 42+ has a new Tracking Protection feature that is enabled by default in Private Browsing mode. You can see a shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar when you are in private browsing mode that some content is blocked. You can disable this feature in "Options/Preferences > Privacy".
- Options/Preferences > Privacy: "Use Tracking Protection in Private Windows"
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/control-center-site-privacy-and-security-firefox
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
Thank you cor-el. I do not use private browsing. However, I did have the box checked for "use tracking protection in private windows." I unchecked that and it made no difference. Clearing the cache does not make any difference. I did this several times. I do have Firefox set to clear history and cookies when I exit. I started Firefox in safe mode and it did not make any difference. I did notice in all this hunting around that I have two listings for sites allowed to store offline data. They are both for words with friends. I thought I might need to include the other three games, but I can find no way to add them. Thanks for your quick response and I'm sorry nothing worked.
Flash normally asks for permission to store data locally unless you have disabled this feature.
Note that these settings panels are an actual Flash object and not an image.

Thanks once again cor-el. I really appreciate the links to get to Flash. I looked at all of the settings, unchecked the one deny that I had and added the game sites to the allowed list. Again, after rebooting, no change. Ruth On 12/26/2015 6:44 PM, Mozilla Support Forum wrote:
