I want to read a thunderbird answer, but I end up in Mozilla each time.
Someone has asked a question about printing out a list of email addresses, but they were in Mozilla support rather thanThunderbird. The thread ended with the question being transferred to the Thunderbird queue. How do I get there to view the answers? Every time I try I find I am still in Mozilla.

copied and printed below is the question I am interested in..hope this is what you need.Got to go out now, so will not reply for some time.thanks for trying to help If I try to print my e-mail address book it puts each address on a separate page (200 e-mail addresses = 200 pages). Is there a way to print as a list?
would it be to much to ask of you to post the actual link. that line at the top of your browser that shows what page your actually looking at. you know copy it and paste it into the message here when you reply. Seriously if you not able to post the link to a web page, I really doubt how much help anyone can give you.
When I print using daily I get multiple entries per page. Just tried V38. It prints multiple entries per page.
@Zenos Has that changed since the Release version do you know?

When a thread is transferred, everything goes along. Not just a part of it.
You asked this Question in the Thunderbird forum. But if you look at the top. It is still Mozilla.
So what is the link to the thread you chasing around.
The thread was concerning thunderbird email addresses, but it ended with a box saying transferred to Thunderbird queue. I cannot find the remainder of the thread.i.e. the answers to the question that was asked
do you think you could provide a link to that thread. I can't help you until i know where your looking.

One answer to that would be to export the required addresses to a CSV file. You then open that CSV file in a spreadsheet program, edit it there to remove unwanted data, re-order the columns and use the spreadsheet's printing capabilities to make a hardcopy.

Thank you Zenos.. you have solved prob. Just one point- you need to select a particular address book, not just all address books. If you slelct "all" you only get the headings... when I got that at first I remembered I had seen something about not selecting All, and tried again with one of the subheadings...success.. thanks a lot.
Yep, I think the way it lets you try to print, import and export when All Address Books is selected is an oversight.
@Matt - same here, it prints multiple contacts per page, separated by horizontal rules. TB38.5.1 Note this is in Address Book print preview, and an actual print to pdf. I don't see any reason, ever, to convert an address book into real dead trees.
The export is being done inBug 1182460
The printing appears to be fixed in Nightly. So it might make is for 43.
