I need to download and reinstall Firefox on my main PC, but Firefox appears to have become corrupted. (Microsoft Essentials scan found a Trojan & removed it... The problem?) Neither Firefox or the Internet Explorer, (that I don't normally use,) will connect. After entering an address in the address field, both immediately blink, remove the entered info, and reset to receive a new address. Can I download to another working computer, copy to a thumb-drive & then install it on the desired computer?

Using another computer, Download Firefox Full Version For All languages And Systems {web link} onto a thumb drive. After, plug the thumb into your system.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
