Just confirming so I'm clear about the issue :) When you logon to webmail yahoo account using a browser, you have a folder you created called 'Saved' containing important emails.

If you created a POP mail account: then your thunderbird pop mail account can only get access to the server Inbox folder to download any emails not previously downloaded. This is not a Thunderbird quirk, it is how all pop mail accounts work no matter what email client you use.

How to get the emails in the server 'Saved' folder into Thunderbird. First move all emails out of Thunderbird mail account Inbox into another folder suitably named for organising and storage. This just makes it easier when you do the next step, so not mixing up with your 'Saved' emails.

Logon to webmail using a browser, and move all emails out of 'Saved' into 'Inbox' because pop mail accounts can access the Inbox.

In Thunderbird click on 'Get Messages' to download those emails. Once they are downloaded, create suitably named folders in pop mail account and move those emails from Inbox into those folders.

This will get all emails in server 'Saved' folder into your Thunderbird pop mail account.

If you created an IMAP mail account: Imap mail accounts offer a remote view of folders on the server. You would need to subscribe to see those folders. Right click on imap mail account in the left Folder pane and select 'Subscribe'. Select the folders you want to be able to see.
