How do you remove the Outbox folder?
I am a long time TBird user, but never used "Send later".
I didn't realize that the message to be sent later will be placed in the "Local Folders" (which was collapsed) which I did not see. Not understanding where the message went, I created a folder "Outbox" under my regular mail server account (using POP). Then I discovered the Outbox folder under "Local Folders".
My attempt to remove the Outbox Folder that I created failed due to no "delete" option in the right-click menu like with all other folders I may have created.
How do I remove this unused Outbox folder?

I'm not familiar with Mac icons. Is the icon attached to this folder a regular icon like any other self-made folder? I am asking because if it is not a regular icon then it may indicate that your folder has special properties leading to it not having a delete option. You'll have noticed that other special folders, such as Inbox, Sent, Trash etc each have their own distinctive icons.
There is a Folder Flags addon that lets us set these special properties and that would allow you to demote this folder to ordinary status which means it should acquire a delete option.
Or you could close Thunderbird, open your profile in your file manager and remove the offending Outbox file. You need to take care to find the right one, inside the account's subfolder.

I removed the offending "Outbox" and "Outbox.msf" files from the profile. Seems to work fine.
