I get this error on my screen when opening firefox: Firefox.exe - Application Error The exception illegal instruction An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction. (0xc000001d) occurred in the application at location 0x37330019. Click on OK to terminate the program
It is on a terminal server (citrix). All users get this error. I've tried uninstalling. Started in safe-mode, litterally everything google said I should try. Can you help me?

If you can't get Firefox to open, you will have to do this the hard way. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter Open the file browser / explorer on your computer. Note: You may have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files. Enter this in the address bar; Windows: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 7/Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win XP/2000: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Linux: /home/<username>/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Copy the most recent 5-7 File Names in the folder. Post the information in the reply box.
There is nothing there, I said before i've tried uninstalling many times. So I have no crashreports. After the install of Firefox 52.4.1 ESR 32-bit, no error has come since.. So i'm gonna make this question solved, but I solved it myself by installing Firefox 52.4.1 ESR 32-bit :)

Could you supply version # of Firefox or is it many versions Help --> About Supply what OS it is running under. What if any Extensions and Plugins are they running.
This is the complete Help Book that our suggestions come from. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-support-troubleshooting-guide
Now more experienced Contributors here will and can dive into the guts of Firefox so please come back with your answers if still need help. I have marked this to be escalated.

It was the latest version of firefox, tried both 64 and 32 bit. I tried restarting the server which is server 2008 R2. Now here at last I tried Firefox 52.4.1 ESR 32-bit and it works, 64-bit made it crash. So i've figured it out myself, but maybe you have a solution for that version?
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

The problem was that I could not even open settings, about, support and so on, I could not do anything, that error message made everything not work and unclickable.

That was very good work. Well done.
I have the same issue with Firefox on Citrix, seems to have started with ver 56.0.1. Happens on all 6 Citrix servers in the farm. Can find nothing in Application or System logs. No crash reports either.
Citrix XenApp 6.0 running on Server 2008 R2 Standard. 64-bit Firefox, now on 56.0.2.
My organization prioritizes security so downgrading to an earlier version is not an option.

Follow that article to the linked Citrix article and disable XenApp API hooks for firefox.exe.
