problem with formatting when pasting
Hi, For years, I have been sending a weekly email with several paragraphs and headings and plenty of formatting and links, etc. that I create in Google Docs & then copy & paste into the body of an email. Now, when I paste the text, all paragraphs display as one long line, and the reader has to scroll all the way to the right to see the entire text of the paragraph. This is extremely frustrating!!! It began happening sometime after December 3, and might be related to me now using an updated version of Firefox. I am currently on a Mac, using Sierra 10.12.6 and Firefox version 57.0.1

Does that happen on other Browsers?
Yes - it's worse on others. I am trying to email through School Messenger, and they recommend Firefox or IE.
Are you certain that the editor window you use to paste is not a plain text editor, but is a rich text editor that accepts HTML code?
If you get one long line without formatting then this can happen if you paste in a text area that doesn't accept formatting code that was placed on the clipboard.
The best thing you can do is to Copy the text from the source. Then Paste it into a Word type program. Then Copy the clean tet to wherever you want.
It probably is a plain text editor, but all the other formatting (bold, underline, font sizes, colors, returns, etc) pastes with no problem. I never had the problem with paragraphs until this week. I have the option to paste from Word, which I have tried, and the dame exact problem occurs. /All formatting except paragraphs paste perfectly.
Fred McD - thanks, but as you can see from my most recent reply, I tried that & it didn't work.
What is the source you are using? Could you just send a link to it?
