Firefox does not save site exceptions for passwords.

more options

FIrefox prompts to save username and passwords on sites or to update them when changed. However, if I select "Never ask" when the prompt shows up, it will add the site to the password exceptions list in Options. But when the browser is shut down and opened in a new session, that list is cleared.

Not sure why this happens nor how to fix it.

One possible reason is if this setting is turned on:

Preferences (on Windows, Options) page > Privacy & Security > "Clear history when Firefox closes"

If you use that feature, click the Settings button to the right and make sure that "Site Preferences" is NOT checked (not selected for deletion)

Otherwise, external cleaning software may run between Firefox sessions and remove or revert certain Firefox data files. Advanced SystemCare is one program that may do it.

I will try that out and see if it works. Thanks for the suggestion!

UPDATE: Yep, that fixed it. Thank you, sir!
