cANNOT REMOVE 2 HYPHENS THAT APPEAR EACH TIME I GO TO WRITE AN EMAIL

In the screenshot you will see two hyphens in the area where you type your email. I think they appeared after one or two attempts I made to create an image and text as a 'Signature' I have succeeded with the Signature Block and I do not think they relate to the Signature block I ended up using but every time I go to type a fresh email there they are - I can delete them but they reappear next time I go to write an email - how can I permanently remove them. 3772richard

Thanks for your prompt reply. I followed a You Tube instruction but no mention of this symbol was made so thought it was a 'left over' from previous unsuccessful attempts - had I not been curious I probably would never have known their purpose. ! R
