Comodo Antivirus is what I recommend. mainly because it is one of the few AV programs that doesn't install sketchy add-ons in Firefox.

I use the Free version which is for personal use. https://www.comodo.com/home/download/download.php?prod=antivirus

To the best of my knowledge, AVG still does not have an option to whitelist trusted add-ons on Firefox. This likely means that the only option is to uninstall AVG and move to a different security program.

You can try reporting these add-ons to AVG as a false positive, but it will take time for them to investigate the add-on and add it to the approved list on their software.

if AVG is the problem, which free antivirus does like Firefox trusted addons? Avast?

Windows has its own anti-virus. But I use Norton.

Personally, I use Avast and have only ever had an issue with 1 addon that I created for a private company because it was not published on the Mozilla Addon Store.
