I can send and receive emails just fine but when I try to forward a message it won't go through in Thunderbird. A dialogue box pops up 'connected to mobile.charter.net' and then after a couple minutes another box pops up that says connection to Thunderbird timed out. In case it's helpful I'm on an iMac.

Server type: IMAP Mail Server Server name: mobile.charter.net Security connection: SSL/TLS Authentication method: normal password

Thanks in advance for helping.

What are your Outgoing Server (SMTP) settings? They should be: mobile.charter.net on port 587, SSL/TLS security (not STARTTLS), authentication = normal password, User name = email address.

Do you have an antivirus program scanning email, or a VPN?
