I just did a reinstall of Firefox and it seems Mozilla was so kind as to include McAfee WebAdvisor in my add-ons. It seems to me that there is no way to rid my system of this monstrosity. Does anyone know how to purge Firefox of McAfee WebAdvisor? Now to be clear I have not activated it, I just want it out of my Ad-Ons. Please help.

Hi Jim,

this is a McAfee's addon, we didn't include it in your addons (of course).

See How to uninstall McAfee WebAdvisor or SiteAdvisor.

No version of Firefox web browser (for Windows, Mac, Linux) from Mozilla like say www.mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ comes with McAfee WebAdvisor extension.

Do you have McAfee antivirus installed on your Windows? as that can potentially install this extension into Firefox.

Adobe can have a couple McAfee options for download of Flash Player so you have to be careful there when downloading Flash Plugin.
