Hi!

I have Gmail with IMAP and I need TB (my work PC) to reflect everything on the server, like a mirror. To accomplish this, I set to True the setting mail.server.default.check_all_folders_for_new , which seems to be working only partially because labels are not synced.

I close TB and then using Gmail's web interface, I perform the following test: I receive a new message with specific text on the body, and then I move it from Inbox to another folder, let's call it CustomFolderOne. Then I open TB and click on Get Messages. The new message is downloaded. Then I use the search function to find a message with the specific text. TB finds the message, but shows that is located on the All Mail folder ONLY. It doesn't show anything about the label CustomFolderOne. The issue gets fixed only when I manually click on the folder CustomFolderOne, otherwise, the label is ignored.

Please, you help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Please check the following:

  • Right click on CustomFolderOne folder and select 'Properties'.

Select checkboxes for:

  • 'Include messages in this folder in Global Search results'
  • 'When getting messages for this account, always check this folder'
  • click on OK
