Folder pane doesn't show message counts in Ubuntu 20.04 "Dark Mode" unless you mouse over each line

I switched Ubuntu 20.04's Appearance from Standard to Dark. Now Thunderbird's folder pane is no longer showing the message counts for Unread, Total, and Size unless I select a folder or mouse over a folder. The column headings are still there. I want to see all those counts, just like I always have, even if the Appearance setting is "Dark Mode".

This current mode is like playing a children's video detective game where you have to move your magnifying glass over each line to see what's in each line and then try to remember what the contents were in one folder when you mouse over another folder.

Please get the message counts to display in both Appearance settings. I have lots of folders, and I don't have the time, memory, or desire to "play detective" when going through my email.

The other thing that happened is that I switched Ubuntu 20.04's Settings/Appearance from "Standard Mode" to "Dark Mode".

Please allow the folder message counts to be displayed in Dark Mode.
