There has been constant requests to Mozilla for the tabs to be shown below the address bar but they have been totally ignored. Tweaks have been designed but they keep needing to be updated by the user. Is there a simple way to manage this problem?

Not "ignored" but not something that Mozilla wants to do, again.

Sorry, there is no "simple way". userChrome.css is all that we have; but at least Mozilla hasn't (yet) blocked Firefox users from being able to use that file to modify Firefox to suit their desires for an alternative for tab-strip location mods to Firefox.

And the constant need to fix your mods, that will come in time as Mozilla completes the changes to the User Interface internal coding.

There hasn't been that much changes to the way the toolbar work and if you only use basic CSS code to get the tab on bottom and refrain from including too many extras.

The code for userChrome.css in this reply still works for me.
