I have a folder on my desk top that reads "Old Firefox Data". This popped up when a newer version was installed. How can this be imported back into my newer 80.+ version? I have lost most history, bookmars, etc.

The feature in Lockwise to import logins is probably not enabled and you may have to flip a pref on the about:config page as stated in the article.

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

I want to thank for responding. I found those links. Problem is,some files needed to be renamed to fully transfer. And some files had only 3 letters in them. Not sure why. I have the newest version now, but, it does not have the "import data" selection as I have found there. Very odd. I have spent too many hours on this. Thankfully, I can still access my saved logins, as I exported them to desk top before updating. I can still get into sites, but it is tedious. I wonder why I found the page where that function is suppose to be, but that option is not in the new browser. Again, I thank you for your help. I need to go through creating the new profile, and see if I can add files one by one.

Hi, the Import feature generally works with data from a different browser, not with Firefox folders. (Except that there's Import for an optional bookmarks HTML file that Firefox does not create on its own.)

So as you say, you can replace certain new files with certain old ones of the same name to bring over the old data. What have you tried so far?

Thank you. I will play with this in the morning. 9:30 here in Dallas, and I have had enough. Plus, had issues with my Acronis back ups. Found out thru Acronis that it does not back up browser files. I will let you know how it works tomorrow.
