Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and Firefox latest updates. For some time (including previous versions) I've noticed that some Amazon Prime videos won't play in HD 1080p despite my system supporting HDCP (confirmed by NVIDIA driver). I do not have 4k/UHD HDCP 2 support. I looked at previous complaints here, and tried deleting site data and cookies, and then all cookies for everything, and then refreshed Firefox, but none of this fixed it. I'm able to watch HD 1080p in Edge browser. For reference, I'm playing Fisherman's Friends movie. I've found that Amazon's own content will play in 1080p in Firefox.

How can you tell it's not 1080P? This is all I see in Linux. See screenshot Post a screenshot.

This is how it appears in Microsoft Edge and Firefox. In Edge it says "HD 1080p" in lower left corner, and the best setting has higher data rate. The movie also appears sharper full screen on my QHD 2560x1440 display. Also an image of my Firefox plugins, OpenH264 and Widevine. These are there by default. Am I missing a required plugin maybe?

I see you don't get the "HD video unavailable" notice despite yours not being 1080p. I can only guess that yours doesn't support HDCP, but I've never used Linux. Here's an image showing my confirmation of HDCP in NVIDIA control panel.

This seems to be a related bug: sometimes no HD on Amazon Prime movies https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1334902

I suppose this Widevine issue hasn't been fixed despite being 6 months ago?
