I've seen the curt responses here that "Android doesn't have a homepage" despite the fact that searches report that it IS possible to set a homepage if ff android that are STILL posted in the mozilla help and support sites.

Despite the fact that someone at mozilla has made the imperial decision to make it not so, home pages are vital to many of us, especially those of us who may not have the perfect vision of 20-somethings. I'm pushing 80, and my eyesight shows it... I have created a special "bookmarks page" (https://bevhoward.com/bm for anyone who is morbidly curious) that I can use where the ff android bookmarks are useless to these eyes.

PLEASE! TAKE THOSE FF USERS WHO HAVE NEEDS THAT FF PROGRAMMERS AND DECISION MAKERS MAY NOT HAVE INTO CONSIDERATION AND GIVE US OPTIONS TO ALLOW US TO USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!

There are a huge number of other similar obstacles that are not necessary to be included in a basically good app. I assume that they are still there since there is such a high wall for mere mortal users to even get them viewed by someone who could do something about them but don't want to be privy to user needs.

Again, PLEASE!!!

Beverly Howard

Hi

Thank you for this hopeful response. It is appreciated and I appreciate the fact that you used my post to support the fact that users need an easily accessible starting point every time they open android firefox.

When searching this site for this need, the top response is the locked thread at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1307863 which gives the searcher little hope that the need will be met.

May I suggest that someone who can shoehorn in an additional post in this thread, please post your very helpful response to the above thread ...to keep hope alive.

As a programmer/developer (in another language) I know that most of you want to help and make life easier for everyone, especially with accessibility needs. It might be very informative to suggest that programmers turn on android's accessibility/fonts/largefonts as part of testing... at the moment, it is a mixed blessing.

Thanks again, Beverly Howard
