Hi,

This morning I logged into my Gmail using incognito mode and then closed the tab. Now when I visit Gmail inside incognito it logs me in immediately as if it saved all session information like cookies. I faced this issue first time on any browser and there is no mention of such issue elsewhere. I am on Version 96.0.1

Passwords are stored in the Password Manager. That is not removed in Private Windows. Just the logged-in and other cookies are removed.

That was very confusing experience to be honest, I don't know what caused it or what solved it later, when I found this issue I closed private window and started new incognito session and there I was, still logged in.

I later exited browser from menu and that solved the problem, but I freaked out none the less.

PS: In my query above I typed "tab" but this was "window", session was persistent between different incognito windows, even after original window was closed.

Many have found that just pressing the X upper left of the Firefox window sometimes does not close the browser properly.

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem as this can help others with similar problems. Go to that post and click the 'Solved' button to its right.

Did you close all PB mode windows or close and restart Firefox because your PB mode sessions cookies aren't cleared if you close a PB mode tab and still have another PB mode tab or window open ?
