bookmarks not syncing on Android Firefox

I am using Firefox on several devices and on all of them I am signed in so to sync Firefox among them. Yet I have recently discovered that sync does not appear to work at all on my LG V20 Android smartphone. I tried to sign our an sign back in, tried to re-sync, gone on desktop and repeated the same... nothing!

This is affecting my Toolbar Bookmarks in particular, which is what I need sync for. Which is why what is happening is practically voiding any presumed benefit of syncing, giving that none of that is happening.

Any idea why this may be happening and how to fix it?
