After my computer unexpectedly reboots, if I open Firefox and go to the about:profiles page, I am unable to open my other profiles. Instead there is a message saying "This profile is in use in another application and it cannot be deleted." even though these other application windows are not present.

Quitting Firefox and reopening it does not fix the problem.

Completely rebooting my computer will fix the problem.

I should have tried logging out and logging back in to my account; I'll try that next time this happens.

Aside from fixing the bug, I'd appreciate it if you can suggest a workaround (such as deleting a lock file) that doesn't require me to close all the applications I have open.

I would try deleting any lock file with Firefox closed.
