All emails disappeared after the web server was changed
It is supposed that all emails (received & sent) are saved locally in Thunderbrid. I moved my hosting account from one provider to the other provider, I setup same email address as i had with the previous provider and also using in the Thunderbrid. I could still see all the emails but Thunderbird asked me for a new password. Things were ok up to this point but when i entered the new password, all of a sudden all the emails of that account disappeared. Surprisingly when i try to search something using search toolbox, Thunderbird shows me result from all the emails that are disappeared.
I believe emails are still there but disappeared due to some glitch & that need to be fixed in the code. Can anyone please provide me a work around or development can fix this bug & release a new version ?
Thanks Farhan

Is this an IMAP account? And you have your own domain name and switched from one host to another? Please clarify the details. My 'guess' is that, if it is iMAP, the messages were still appearing on Thunderbird, but with a new server, there were no messages on the new server. So, since IMAP sync's to the server, the messages on PC would have been deleted. With more details, I may have guessed wrong.

Assuming you're talking about Global Search then what you see is what has previously been indexed. If your account is IMAP, as david already suspected, your messages are gone. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/global-search
You'd need to rebuild the search index to clean this up. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/rebuilding-global-database
Well, in search i can see full message thread, it means database is still there, I just want to use merge that database with the one newly created after entering password for the same account on the new server. If you have any solution, please share with me.
