Why won't Citrix web app (XenApp 12) not open in FF 3.6x?

I have FF 3.6x installed on 2 Win 7 Pro machines and the Citrix web app for connecting to our Citrix Presentation server will not open (CitrixOnlinePluginWeb_ver_12). I have changed the application to use Citrix (not open in a FF tab) but it still will not work.

This same application opens fine in IE8 under Win 7 Pro. Now the real hooker- the application does open in FF 3.6x under WinXP Pro sp3.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== I have only used FF 3.6x on my Win7 Pro machines

Try XenApp client 11.2 or lower.

In XenApp 12 they removed support for launching published applications via '.ica' files.

Firefox and other browsers which do not utilize the 'Active-X' method of launching applications still require support for .ica files. This has been broken in version 12 of the Citrix client software :(
