Using FireFox ver 3.6.16 in Win7 64 bit. When I open my Livemail email and highlight a portion of that email, it will not print.

I choose 'print' from 'file', select 'selection' then 'print' and nothing happens. I can copy and paste the selection to Microsoft Word and it will print.

I can also open Livemail.com in Internet Explorer, highlight the portion of the email text, choose print under file, choose 'selection' and it will print with no problem.

There may be other web based stuff that will not print but we have not had this combination (Win7 and FireFox) long enough to know.

Is your Printer selected in the Printer - Name box?

Thanks the-edmeister, that was a good start . It never dawned on me to check the selected printer name. Even though the desired printer was declared 'default", it was not selected when you opened the print function box. There are only two printers set up but they are both the same printer. One was for a USB connection and the Default (copy 1) was for the wireless setup of the same printer.

I did find numerous print jobs in the queue for the USB version. I canceled them.

That now being remedied, I went on to test. I opened the email, then opened the print box, I left the page selection as it was (1 of 1) and printed. The wireless printer (copy 1) printed the whole page as requested.

I then 'selected' several lines within the email, opened the Print box again, chose 'print selection' and hit print. The printer spit out a sheet with nothing but the Livemail header at the top of the page.

Do you have any additional suggestions?

I did do one additional print test. I opened, in FF, the MSN.com webpage. I selected a portion of it, opened the print box and chose 'print selection'. It did print.

So now the remaining issue seems to be printing a selection from within a LiveMail email whereas I am able to do so with Livemail open in Internet Explorer.

I am having the exact same problem. Not only with email, but with text on a web page as well. I can print the entire page with no problems or issues. The problem is with selecting only a portion of the text and trying to print it. My printer does try to do something, but only outputs a blank page. Kind of need this to work. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Woodmsc.
